OVERVIEW:

This is a ticket for the 2027 Wilderness First Responder Bike Tour, occurring March 28th – April 3rd, 2027.

The tour begins in Albuquerque, NM – and will cover roughly 120 miles over 7 days over gravel, frontage, and forest service roads.

This project will combine the Wilderness First Responder certification in the format of a bicycle tour, and is our second attempt at blending practical skills for imminent human migrations.

We have partnered with Base Medical, a wilderness medical education program based in Albuquerque, to provide the Wilderness First Responder certification. One of the benefits for this collaboration include providing a hybrid learning format for our participants – half of the coursework is done online and prior to the tour, allowing us to focus on hands on learning in person, in addition to our own simulated exercises.

The tour is based around a multi day scenario. Our group is migrating towards a checkpoint, and will encounter many opportunities to solve problems, overcome challenges, and apply medical skills along the way. At the conclusion of the tour, participants will have a Wilderness First Responder certification valid for two years.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

Purchasing your ticket gains you access to the application portal, where your name will be put into a lottery pool and randomly selected on December 31st. The ticket is non-refundable. All ticket holders, regardless of acceptance, will be considered sponsors for the project and sent a limited edition tote bag as a thank you. Multiple ticket purchases does not increase a participant’s chance of winning – however, if you would like to purchase multiple tickets for separate people please send us an email. Please make sure that your shipping address is correct at time of purchase!

We highly encourage applicants to read the expectations of our programs before applying.
